MY FIRST MARDI GRAS FLOAT WAS BUILT IN 2011
This float was built for my 3 kids(Christopher, Matthew and Sarah) and will hopefully be used in two parades this year....
PARADE #1> Shenandoah elementarty school margi gras parade.
PARADE #2> Spanish Town parade......but this is just a hope now.. I will have to find a
way to collapse the 8 foot float into the back of my minivan and then get it working again
some how...... BUT we are not offically part of the parade. We will make our own little
PRE- PARADE....I think....
either way; it was fun to build and use for a little while......
THE FLOAT IS TO RESEMBLE THE LOUISIANA OLD STATE CAPITOL.
Anyways, we already have pulled it around the block and have teste its durability....(total of about 1 mile now)...
It started out as a bathtub box which was white (8 foot by 3 foot) and over the course of two days and 12 hours later...it evolved into the magnificant LUBEY MARDI GRAS FLOAT
....Of course most of the materials are recycled.
My neighbors were putting in a new bathtub and I was able to get the box it came in...
The only two pieces of wood, came from an old wooden fence which I saved after a hurricane knocked the fence down.
The beads are from last weekends mardi gras...
The streamers are from junk which was being thrown out at work
The castle towers were created out of old comptuer boxes.
