WHO IS DOUG LUBEY?
Doug Lubey resides in Baton Rouge Louisiana with my great family of 5; wife Laurie, Children:Sarah, Christopher and Matthew. I like to stay active and spend as much time doing fun things with my family; which could include going out to eat on the weekends and Blue Bayou in the summer.
In my professional life, I work as the Director of Information Technology for the Safety Council. I have worked in this position for over 10 years and at the Safety Council for nearly 15 years. I currently have a staff of 4 with varying disciplines in the technology field. Previous to this position I have worked for Albemarle Corporation and Boys and Girls club. I hold a Bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix and an Associates Degree from Jamestown Community College in New York.
During my downtime, I enjoy watching football, hiking, biking, internet blogging and solving technology solutions. I have yet to find technology which I do not like. You could call me a "jack of all trades"; even though I may work as a manager, I characterize myself as a "hands on manager"; I still write code and pick up a screw driver when the opportunity arises.
I am an active participant and attendee of the .net User group in Baton Rouge and very much a part of the internet technology community. Just google my alias
"Doug Lubey of Louisiana" and you will find many articles I have written about the world of technology.
