SUMMARY:
Sharepoint 2007 allows print screens to show up in the Annoucements but only under certain conditions. Under some Cases the image will show up as [cid:image001.jpg@xxxxxxxxxxxx] and in other cases it will show up as [cid:image001.png]. Under both circumstances the image is totally removed from existance in the sharepoint site.....WHAT IS UP WITH THAT.

BACKGROUND
I work on Microsoft XP SP3. I also have an annoucments sharepoint communication list which is email enabled....When a sharepoint list is emailed enabled it allows Mail from outlook 2007 (Exchange 20087) Active Directory to be emailed to Sharepoint.
So in Microsoft Exchange 2007 we had a group called _ALL. This group has been part of our organization before MOSS 2007 came here. Once an sharepoint list has been emailed enabled, Sharepoint/Exchange creates a Sharepoint Contact in the Exchange Management Console.
We added _ALL to the SharePointGroups-AllAnnoucements via the Member Of option.
So now the sharepoint list is created and setup.
SCENARIO 1> THIS DOES NOT WORK
USING WINDOWS XP (SP3) office 2007 exchange 2007 etc...MOSS 2007
When I send an email directly to the SharpointGroup-AllAnnoucment the print screen shows up as cid:image001.jpg@xxxxxxxxxxxx or cid:image001.png@xxxxxxxxxxxx. And the image essentially dies in transit. At the bottom of the sharepoint item...An attachment shows up title originalMessage.mht.....But even when I open that message up. It says the same thing.
SCENARIO 2> THIS WORKS
USING WINDOWS XP (SP3) office 2007 exchange 2007 etc...MOSS 2007
When I send an email to the _ALL group (which is an exchange 2007) group the print-screen shows up properly in the Annoucment Item.
SCRENARIO 3> USING WINDOWS VISTA (SP1) WITH SHAREPOINT
the print screen shows up no matter what I do.. I can email the sharepoint group directly and the print scren shows up. I can email the Exchange 2007 group directly and the print-screen I did using outlook 2007 shows up properly

update 2008-02-25....this problem was fixed by deleting the outlook 2007 local profile and re-creating the local profile and using all the default settings in outlook 2007
